Science doesn’t often taste this good.
At the Children’s Library in Palo Alto on Tuesday, children learned how to make ice cream by shaking cream, vanilla and sugar in a bag of ice and rock salt during the “Science from the Kitchen” lesson. (x)
It was messy as hell (there are still salt water stains on the floor), but lots of fun watching the kids make ice cream. Susan, the librarian in the striped shirt, also showed them fun, safe stuff to do in the kitchen, like microwaving soap.
